Pauline Faulk Centre for Behavioral Health, a division of the American Legion Hospital, Crowley, is a 24 bed inpatient psychiatric facility offering care for persons suffering with psychiatric illnesses and or those suffering with chemical dependency. The Centre serves both adults (21-55) and geriatric (55+). Typical conditions treated are: medication non-compliance, homicidal/suicidal, depression, hallucination, Alzheimers, chemical dependency, combative behavior, eating disorders, obsessive behavior and compulsive behavior. Multi-disciplinary teams work closely with the client, family members and referral source to build a successful treatment plan. Treatment consists of : individual care by a psychiatrist, 24 hour nursing care, individual, group and family therapy, medication management, psychological testing, recreation therapy, chemical dependency treatment, occupational therapy, daily living skills, diagnostic testing, nutrition assessments and physical therapy. Free confidential assessments and referrals are provided Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm. After hours assessments are also provided for emergencies.
