Helpline is a joint venture between 232-HELP and The Daily Advertiser. It is for those who are in desperate financial need due to either serious illness or other catastrophic personal circumstances. 232-HELP screens all applications and The Daily Advertiser publishes a story about the plight of the individual and their family eliciting donations from the general public. To make a donation to Helpline, checks should be made payable to Helpline and mailed to 232-HELP, P.O. Box 52763, Lafayette, LA 70505. To apply for Helpline assistance, call for an application.
