The Louisiana SenioRx Program is designed to help older adults access drug manufacturers’ discount cards and pharmaceutical assistance programs and assist them in applying for such programs.

Eligibility for the SenioRx Program participation shall be limited to residents of the state of Louisiana who meet, at a minimum:

  • Must be 60 years of age or older or 21 and older with onset physical disability.
  • Must have a gross income that does not exceed three hundred percent (300%) of the federal poverty guidelines.
  • Must not have voluntarily canceled a state or federal prescription drug program or a private prescription reimbursement plan within six (6) months prior to application for enrollment in the SenioRx Program.

Cajun Area Agency on Aging, Inc. is currently administering the Louisiana SenioRx Program in the parishes of Acadia, Evangeline, Iberia, Lafayette, St. Landry, St. Martin, St. Mary and Vermilion.

Scheduled, monthly, pharmaceutical assistance activities are planned for each of the parishes in the planning and service area. Older adults needing assistance with prescriptions should contact us.
