Kingsley Place is an assisted living residence which provides care and support with all of the comforts of home. An experienced staff assists with the activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, meals and exercise and attends to the many unique programs and services designed for today’s seniors. From delicious meals to meticulous housekeeping to professional health care services, each resident receives the utmost personalized attention. Specialized care is available for Alzheimer’s patients and an Alzheimer’s support group is hosted on the first Wednesday of each month at 6:30pm. It is a program designed for learning about the latest research on Alzheimer’s disease and sharing experiences and tips with other caregivers of memory impaired seniors. Wendy Guidry, an advisory board member of the Alzheimer’s Assoc.-South/West Louisiana Chapter, moderates the meetings. Kingsley Place of Lafayette hosts this education and support group for caregivers. Group facilitators are Ray and Marilyn Yandle (988-3142).
