Horizons is a health promotion and educational program with leisure time activities for persons over 50 years of age. They provide a Caregivers Program which is an educational and support program for persons caring for frail, elderly family members other support groups and periodic health screenings. Widowed Persons Service is an educational and support group for widowed persons. Speakers provided. From Mid-October through early November, flu and pneumonia shots are available through a series of immunization clinics held in Lafayette and the surrounding parishes. For outlying towns, call 289-8516 for flu shot location. Health screenings are available on a periodic basis.
