LaCAN is a statewide grassroots advocacy network of individuals and families who have worked together since 1988 advocating for a system that supports individuals with disabilities to live in their homes rather than having to move to a facility to receive needed services. Regional LaCAN teams include parents, individuals with disabilities, and others who want to work to change Louisiana’s system of supports for people with disabilities. LACAN links lawmakers and families to make a difference for individuals with disabilities.
